Dear Friends, We are sure you are wondering what is happening with the coffee shop, so here it is… We thought we would be a part of this lovely neighborhood for years to come and this was a very difficult decision to make. We opened this shop to provide Boerum Hill with great coffee and tea (and some chocolate) as well as great customer service, however, we found running a small business to be tough. Even with the few people we had helping, we learned that it was still too demanding, especially when some personal and family matters were thrown into the mix. With that being said, Brooklyn Bean & Tea Company will be no longer be open for business as of February 18, 2008. We have had lots of fun and have developed some great-unexpected friendships and found this neighborhood was full of even more wonderful people than we expected. We would have loved to thank each one of you individually for your kind support, patronage and friendship, but as you can imagine, that would have been very difficult. We hope you will understand.
